This hitchhiking trip of mine is really happening! I finally finished all of my exams and presented my master thesis project (the one I spent two months in Mozambique for) just last week. I’m not quite sure yet if I passed all of them but I’m hopeful to graduate from uni this very friday! I suppose we’ll know in a couple of days.

The two weeks that lie between now and my presumed departure will be used as wisely as possible. There are still a lot of preparations to be taken care of. For a start I need to make a list of things to take with me on a journey that might equally last a week or two months. I need to make sure to have all the necessary equipment to survive up till six weeks on the road. Further I’ll need to continue finetuning this website through which I hope to document my escapades while traversing Europe. Thirdly I’m still deciding on a rudimentary idea of my route, although planning this is quite difficult for obvious reasons. While hitchhiking might be a cheap way of traveling it is hard to plan on forehand where you’ll end up. But of course all of this is part of the adventure!
